So I have an external (WD) HDD which is split in two partitions, one is FAT32 for Windows users and one part Mac OSX Extended Journaled for OSX users.

I dont want the OSX partition to be readable to Windows users, and I thought that the format I used is not readable. However in Parallels Windows XP it is readable. I did not check on a stand alone Windows PC.

I believe Parallels automatically adds your connected drives to your guest OS. Parallels handles the file transfer, so the format doesn't matter as long as OS X can read it.

thanks, you must be right, I've tested a real PC with an OSX formatted HDD and it asked for the disk to be formatted, could not read.
