Why is my Focus icon in the menu bar flashing when it is turned off?

The Focus half moon icon in the menu bar is flashing when Do Not Disturb is turned off - is anybody else seeing this? Like it goes from two different shades every few seconds. It's really distracting just constantly flashing away.

it should vanish when do not disturb is off. possibly just a glitch. have you tried rebooting your mac?

I'm experiencing a similar phenomenon on my Mac.

It seems to occur when using the standard macOS 12 Monterey wallpaper "Monterey Graphic" with "Light (Still)" instead of "dynamic".

I'm getting this too, using custom backgrounds...very annoying.
