Why is my iMessage media showing up like this?

I bought an iPhone 6 and whenever I get a video or photo in iMessage it shows up like this. Is there a solution or is this an iOS 8 glitch?

I haven't seen that problem before. I've seen a couple iOS 8 glitches and a restart usually does the trick.

I went to settings and used the "Reset All Settings" option and it seems to have fixed it.

Had same issue. I went to settings and turned off iMessage. Then I restarted and turned it back on. Hasn't happened since.

I reset all settings and it seemed to work for now. Just had to enter all my passwords and such.

The few glitches that I have run into have all been fixed by hard reboot. I've done that twice today

Had same issue. I went to settings and turned off iMessage. Then I restarted and turned it back on. Hasn't happened since.

When the iPhone 6 restarted iMessage turned itself back on though.. didn't have to turn it back on. But all is working now.
