Except from that report late last year regarding a higher risk for Hard Drive failures for 2007 MacBooks assembled in Shanghai. :rolleyes:

Fear not. This is a common shipping point. Usually it is a part request, which determine where the finished unit will be shipped from. Don't worry you have not been scammed.
 
I don't think you quite understand... I KNOW that Apple products are assembled in China. I just found it odd that my MacBook was coming straight to China to my doorstep.

Actually thats a good notice cause you know for sure you´re getting a brand new product straight from the assembly line loaded with the latest updates etc.

I just got a Macbook and iPod Touch and the Touch came 2 days after I ordered it, but my Macbook still isn't here after 8 days. It's coming from China and was shipped 4 days after I ordered it. At least I can mess with my new iPod while I wait for it. :)
