It's going to be a whole new site, with different pictures and I might do it in transitional and tables this time. I'll talk about transitional and tables in my next post as I think we may be under a misconception that headers and paragraphs are linked more closely to SEO.

There is more to a site than SEO, while it is a bit step the design, application code, accessibility and scalability of your site all play very important roles in how your site is preserved by users, maintained, and how well search engines index your site.

Right now i look at your site and a lot of it looks like something from the 1990's which as a consumer i would think your site hadn't been updated in a while.

What you need to do is get someone outside to analyse what your trying to sell and use that as a base for marketing your product. While fancy Web 2.0 graphics can often look tacky, whats worse is a design that looks dated.

When advertising your business the SEO will get people to see your site but they need to want to stay there as well, your clients need to recommend you and in the type of business your running handing out business cards with a link to your site may be one of your most effective advertising methods.

Thanks for your comments and things Jen; SEO is the most important thing by far in my business.
My customers are not too interested in what it looks like. Obviously it wants to be as nice as possible but really and truly is coming up on the first few pages of google to obtain new business.
You're correct about business cards and repetition of business, but I want new customers to grow my business.
I think webdesigners are so caught up in the design process and love of work, but business is all down to SEO. You've gotta rank well, otherwise no-one will know you're there.
It is by far the most important thing in making money.

Just a note i am not a designer i don't care much for visual fluff, part of what i do is heavily into the optimisation of the backend and front end code. Integrating things like the google analytics API's, Ecommerce backends, SEO optimisation, accessibility, and performance tuning.

There are much more capable visual guys around here so my opinion on the site design is purely personal and not professional. But from the point of view of a client looking to use your services i would be turned of by some of the aspects of your sites design which while SEO will get people to your site you need them to stay there and to comply with regional laws, such as in the UK you must provide adequate means for a disabled person to access your sites content.

Just a update if you expect to hit the top pages in google you need to spend some money on Adwords, some of my customers have spent thousands in the first few months making sure there at the number 1 spot.

Thanks for your input Jen :), I was hoping not to fork out for Google Adwords, like you say it's crazy expensive! I phoned them up the other day, £0.84 per click in my category , a few pence would soon add-up to a lot but £0.84 pence would sure add-up to loads .
I was hoping not to go for adwords but seems like I may have to :(.
I think I have made my site accessible for disabled users, though I may have missed something :p.
Thanks for the advice Jen :D
