And then I found out the battery size or capability in the new XR is not that much more than my X.

My wife's new XR will go 36 hours and during that she will have one hour of use and be down to 70% from 100% or 30% use, I go 8 hours of NO USE and I lose 24%.

Did complete set up as new phone two weeks ago at Apple store.

When you SET up AS NEW do you get a NEW perfect so to speak IOS operating system software so that if your problem is corrupted software then you wont have that issue after you do this? That is what they told me and yet NO improvement.

HELP! If I get a new Iphone and set up as new will the problem follow me?

(Yes fetching off, push email off, all apps closed while idle)

You shouldn't have to do all that stuff at the end.

What does the battery app say is consuming your battery? (Settings -> Battery)

Also, are you idling in an area where the cell signal is weak? If the phone is constantly heating up the antenna to find an elusive cell tower, that'll eat battery for sure.

I had the same problem with my XS a few month ago after purchase.
I read about that the screentime documentation is responsible for the massiv battery drain.
Since i turned it off my battery time is fine like it was before with my iOS 11 iPhone X.

[doublepost=1556560082][/doublepost]OK, great question, we do you have a bad cell signal so I went out and bought a Verizon network extender that gives me four bars and a perfect signal but often my phone seems to lose that, but I also use Wi-Fi calling which works really great should I put the phone in airplane mode overnight just have it on Wi-Fi calling and see how that affects the battery?

Couldn’t hurt. At the very least, it’ll give you another data point.
