So why is siri only compatible with iPhone 4s? I can't imagine that the A5 is the only reason....Anyone have any ideas or answers?

I had read somewhere (forgot where) that Siri takes a lot of CPU processing and needs the faster processors of the 4s to handle it.

We'll only know once somebody tries to hack it, and finds out that either it just doesn't work with non-A5s, or it does work but works poorly, or works just fine and drains the battery faster.

I have a feeling it's going to be a lot more amazing than we think. Right now it's just a cool little feature, but I bet when we actually get to use it, it's going to blow our mind and become the defining moment of this current era of mobile communication.

Seems unlikely. The fact it requires an Internet connection would suggest that most, if not all, of the processing is done in the cloud.

Can't imagine it being largely adopted. It'll probably go the way of Facetime. A convenient feature that you'll only use occasionally.

^^ agreed.

Because Siri is a girl...

And girls like white iPhones...

And iPhone 4 didn't come out in white.

pretty sure that's it
