Why is siri only compatible with iPhone 4s

So why is siri only compatible with iPhone 4s? I can't imagine that the A5 is the only reason....Anyone have any ideas or answers?

Seems unlikely. The fact it requires an Internet connection would suggest that most, if not all, of the processing is done in the cloud.

My guess is... That's Apple's way of making the iPhone 4S different from the original iPhone 4.

The same reason FaceTime isn't compatible with pre-iPhone 4's. Nobody would buy the new iPhone. Duhhh!!
