Yes and no. They're still Penryn, but updated.

Old one uses a 200MHz base bus with a 12.5x mulitplier giving you 2.5GHz.

The new one is a 266MHz base bus with a 9.5x multiplier giving you 2.53GHz.

The FSB is quad pumped on both, so it's 800MHz and 1066MHz on the old and new, respectively.
