Why is there no option for 7th App row on X?

This kinda annoyed me (coming from regular non plus sized phone), though that that way larger screen real estate would afford more app density on screen. The X has MORE than a full row of App height, yet Apple decided to make the Icons larger and extended spacing between rows.

At least give us an option for a 7th row, unless I'm missing something? Seems like waste of home screen space to me.

what does aspect ratio have to do with how many rows of icons you can fit on the screen? Just put an X next to an iPhone 6/7/8 and there is a FULL extra row of space available. All the would have to do is reduce the spacing between the rows, and reduce the Icon size slightly.

It could easily be like the option they have on the 6 currently with the zoom vs standard display, except for the X the current display would be the "zoomed" one.

Same for XS... pls add a way to better use the screen estate...

Seems Apple mostly wants to use the same limiting software for most phone devices, such a shame. No extra use of the larger space on the Max for an extra row, split screen, horizontal home page, no Apple Pencil use...............

yes, that gap between the dock and the first row of icons sucks. it's like nearly the space of the touch id button.... apple did not use the more screen estate in any way intelligent. it's just again made in a rush as often with ios.
