3-5 days despatch for stock rMBP 13" models?? Doesn't make sense when Apple Retail Stores have them in stock and just about every PC World in my area!

I ordered Sunday morning and still the order hasn't moved from Processing items.

I am waiting for the Apple store online because I have a promotional code.

Online orders come from the closest warehouse and has no relation to retail store stock.

Ordered my mid range 13" 2 weeks ago, took a week to come from china but was dispatched the next day (now 3-5 days). It seems all stock (BTO or not) is coming from China, also there is a shortage of RAM if you want 16gb I have seen, can make it 3-4 weeks.

John Lewis have run out of stock on their website as well (15" models at least) but I assumed that was because of the free three year warranty offer.

i just called them and they say 3-5 despatch means 5 days at the latest so mine will definitely ship thursday or friday.

Then it is 5 business days for delivery from China. Looks like I'm getting it 29th Nov then...

I reckon its supply issue, not demand. Every retail store has one in stock near me, including PCworld, currys etc etc. Plus I don't know anybody else actually thinking about buying one !

Me too. Ordered on Saturday - i5/8GB/256. Still 'processing'. Yawn.

Either of you received your macbook yet? I ordered mine Sunday and it's still processing...

My 13" rMBP 2.4/8/256 ordered on Monday night is still processing though the Applecare has been dispatched.

If John Lewis hadn't messed my order up (Click and Collect delivered to the wrong store, then lost), I wouldn't be waiting at all...

Ordered Thursday, now showing as shipped 13 inch i5/8gb/256 would have gone retail route but University discount and free applecare too good to turn down

So you order five days after me and get yours shipped earlier? What on earth are Apple playing at?

Just changed to shipped this morning. Ordered last Sunday. Like others previously, ordered the online route because of the University discount.

Me too. A friend was misled by an Apple's shop in Covent Garden when it disputed my advice to her that she could get definitely the extra two years warranty for free if she ordered from the education store online but to ask if she could get it instore also. They said it was not possible instore or online and that she would have to pay £48. So she bought it. I was furious when I found out. But leaving work, travelling back to the store, taking time to refund and then re-order online would have cost her more than the £48 she lost. Ho hum.

Ordered mine November 6. and it still hasn't dispatched. Ordered it with 16gb RAM, which is the reason for the delay, but I am sick and tired of waiting. Is it possible to ask for compensation or are the deadlines only "estimates"?

IMO if it's more than a week (5 working days) late, then give them a call and ask - worst case is that they say no. Best case is they say here's a free hard drive, or case, or charger, or iPad (if you are REALLLY lucky!).

Shipped out of Shanghai today, now showing expected Wednesday (target date was Friday)
