AT&T and Apple are different companies. They process orders differently and distribute them differently. Apple is shipping straight from overseas, while AT&T will probably ship from their warehouse in the US (Illinois apparently). This means they need to receive/process the hundreds of thousands of iPhones shipped to them by Apple before they can turn them around and ship them to you.

AT&T would be much better off if they just told everyone that. Like hey your phone is held up at so and so warehouse. And it will be shipped after that to your home. It would be so much easier than them acting like they have no idea what is going on, and getting yelled at. Or it hasnt reached the warehouse etc. Just to give ppl more of a heads up. Be as transparent as you can.

Why can folks not understand their systems are slammed. Over 2 million phones ordered. That is a lot of processing, along with everybody calling in over and over.
