I purchased a Apple SSD reported to be a pull from a 2011 MBP off eBay. It has the Apple logo on the drive and profiler reports it to be an Apple SSD but trim support is not enabled for some reason. I did a clean install of Lion after installing the drive.

(1) just run the trim enabled hack to enable TRIM support in OSX.

(2) The CTO MBP with apple SSDs have TRIM enabled by default post 10.6.7 I believe - I do not remember ever reading apple claiming to offically support TRIM on MBP that did not have apple SSDs installed on completion - in other words, the CTO MBPs built with apple SSDs had customised OSX that natively supported TRIM.

for consumers like yourself, that brought stock MBPs and then added an apple SSD- TRIM enabler will work fine.
