Sure, there’s a little thing called the HomePod mini, but why not grow the platform by having it on more devices?

If Apple is all-in with Apple Music, then give us more options. Either a new larger HomePod or allow Apple Music to play natively on a lot more devices. I know it plays on some Amazon Echos and Sonos.

But comparatively, Spotify is streamed on everything including smartwatches.

It’s getting really old. I was on a bunch of different forums today reading up on this exact topic, and I don’t understand why Apple can’t get its act together with regards to Apple Music. Barely any devices support it, and while most of those devices DO support Airplay 2, you can’t stream hi-res lossless using Airplay 2. They STILL haven’t updated the Windows side of things; they’re still on an ancient version of iTunes, which even when that was “current,” worked really poorly. Regardless of how anyone may feel about Windows, the fact remains: if Apple is going to sell stuff like iPads, iPhones, and services like Music, you can’t advertise that they’re “Windows Compatible” and then be ok giving those users a piss-poor experience that has nothing to do with the OS!

I’ve been wanting to buy a streamer for a while, but I’ve been waiting for better Apple support. Today I broke down and bought a Node 2i, and I’m just going to use it with Amazon HD for the time being. I’m confident that when (if) Apple gives them an API or whatever it is they need to make that connection, they’ll add it with a software update later!
