Why isn't mail on iphone deleted when I delete from my computer?

I have a mobileme account and when I delete an email from my desktop computer I thought it was supposed to delete it from my iphone also. Before when I was using gmail, whenever I deleted an email it would no longer show up on my iphone mail. With this mobileme account, when I delete it from me.com I then have to go into my iphone mail before it updates and then deletes it. I currently am using "push" to retrieve mail. Anyone know why it's doing this?

Is your MobileMe setup as POP or IMAP?

I don't have MobileMe so I don't even know if it gives you that option, but I know other email servers do give you that option.

I think a re-vamp of MobileMe is causing this. I have the same problem.
