Why isn't SL a digital download?

I seriously don't like paying for shipping and I don't like waiting. Couldn't apple with all of their digital downloaded itunes stuff have offered this as a download? That would have been nice.

I don't like paying $85 per month for a capped 3Gb internet data plan. It is my only option for internet access.
I'd sooner wait and did, for the SL Disk..

They could have, but they didn't. They could have even done it through iTunes, but it would require you to burn a DL-DVD at home on your machine, and I don't think they wanted that extra headache.
