Why do they do the pre-ordering at midnight? Or 3 am my time. Is there a reason for this?

One possible reason is it likely lessens the immense server load. Many people probably like to buy on launch day, but only insane people, like myself and others on this forum, stay up until midnight, 1, 2, or 3 in the morning just to order a phone.

You'd be surprised how many millions of people are just as insane lol. Thats why these things sell out so quickly

Getting up early to pre-order is one thing, those who camp out in front of an Apple store three to four days early, is on a whole another level.

Doesn't really matter when they do it.. since it's a worldwide launch and everyone will have a different time. At this point they are likely just keeping it the same way it has always been.
