I'm using Migration Assistant to migrate my data from old MacPro to new MacPro. My old MacPro has 300GB used and 264GB of that are from my home folder. Migration Assistant is telling me ETA of 9 hours to complete. I'm using a USB3.0 drive where I backup my data using Time Machine. Why does it take so long?

Just let it run for tonight. Videos some times transfers really slow because of the did the DRM. By morning it should be done and you can go by on your way.

I sure hope you didn't tell it to transfer network settings because that can really cause problems in the future. Apple tends to change the network stack at every new version of OS X.
