I know this is probably something do with the radios being turned off when in airplane mode but anyone know exactly why. I usually put my phone in airplane mode in the evenings and at weekends as no one calls me then and to save battery life, but can’t use precision finding of my AirTags when it’s off. Anyone know why? Bluetooth and WiFi are ALWAYS on so can’t be those. What is precision find using then? NFC? Why can’t I find my AirTag unless I have airplane mode turned off? Kinda annoying! Probably a simple answer but would just really like to know..

Though Wifi and Bluetooth can remain on in airplane mode, it's likely the U1 Ultra Wideband chip is turned off.

I have DND set to turn on for nights and part of the weekend. Everything else works, I just don't get the annoying type of calls. Real people I know, know enough to call twice to get through, and that's extremely rare...

This! I even block repeated calls, but have a handful of people on my favourites list and that one comes through.

What I do wish is that the iPhone could block 'unavailable' calls. (Does it?)

I'm getting inundated by unavailable calls on my home phone. They are spoofing local phone numbers, and occasionally it's local businesses, which is getting dangerous. I let them all go to my answering machine, and they never leave a message. Someone suggested to answer the phone, and not make a sound, that eventually they will hangup, and give up. It resulted in a surge of more of those calls.

If you answer their phishing calls, they know it's a working number, and *something* other than a voicemail system is getting their call. Those shysters and scammers!

I get, on average, on a bad day, 3 to 5 calls an hour on my 'home' number!!! I have gotten a few on my iPhone, but just can't wait until the volume there increases too. Living the dream...
