Why no Apple TV deals???

I expected to see some decent deals on the Apple tv4k since the announcement of the update but it doesn’t seem to be happening. Are people seriously paying full price for something that is getting replaced in a couple of weeks?

Apple itself may discount the previous gen box a bit but not by much. Retailers may not have stock of the previous or current gen unit. Best price reductions are for the refurbished units.

how is it being replaced in a few weeks? that makes no sense. either way, i'm sure it will be discounted after it is more widely distributed. i wouldnt expect to see deals until fall/holiday season.

I believe the OP means the new Apple TV 4K is replacing the c4K.

You can get a refurbished previous generation 32gb AppleTV 4k for $149 (with old-style remote). Apple refurbs have the same warranty as new, have bought a number of them over the years and they are always "like new". Currently out of stock, but it was available a couple days ago when I checked.

Personally I would spend another $30 and get the new version with the new remote.

Older Apple TV 4K with A10X is $149.97 for 32GB and $169.97 for 64GB.

New Apple TV with A12 are $9.01 off ($169.99 for 32GB and $189.99 for 64GB), but both are currently sold out.

I hadn’t checked their website. The local store display just says “out of stock” and doesn’t list a price.
