I know there are free ones, just hate having ads on them, but just seems so odd that since day 1 Apple feels we may have a need to add on a bigger screen lol

I use one without ads called Jumbo Calculator

Thank you!! I'll download that one now
[doublepost=1460587519][/doublepost]It has ads now lol

Ridiculous, eh?

I found Numerical to be the best alternative for my tastes.

It literally is the "calculator without equal." Haha.

PCalc is great. I'm using PCalc Lite, free, no ads, and I liked it so much that I added the .99 conversion package, don't really need the other packages or full version. I use it on my iPhone, iPP and AW (OS2 and has a complication). It's great on the watch too and when using the tips and conversions calculation section, you use the crown to rotate thru text/units, just like customizing your watch face. When you enter numbers on the keypad on the watch it also gives a haptic tap.

I had used Calcbot but when I found PCalc liked it so much better that I deleted the former. Didn't care for its watch app as well either.

BTW reading thru and checking out some of the suggestions on here, I discovered that you can turn your World Clock into a large iPad clock display if you want by touching one of the world clock faces. I'd probably keep it plugged into the power supply while sitting there displayed with the Apple cover/stand though. When you touch the screen it will also display City, day/date and time and temperature. The things you learn on MR you might not have found otherwise...

Doesn't make any sense not having a full calculator native app on the ipad. Once again samsung gives a native calculator with scientific calculator functions included on both their tablets and phones; why can't apple do it?

Get Ti Nspire CAS $30. It is the most powerful calculator app. It is even much better than a physical Ti Nspire CAS by the fact that it has advantage of iPad touch screen.

Am I missing something in plain sight ? But where is the standard CaluLater ? Is this another over sight like no Flashlight option ?

There is no standard calculator on the iPad. However, Apple´s Calculator isn´t really great anyway. I have made great experience with Plain Calc. It´s free and I like the formula input a lot. Never seen this in another calculator.

You can get it here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/plain-calc-classy-calculator/id964597598
