    Hey,

I was wondering why there is no multitasking with safari?
So I can open two windows of safari next to eachother!

Is it basically more of a question why can't the same app be used when multitasking (no matter what the app is)?

When Chrome is updated to support split screen in the fall, you'll be able to open Safari and Chrome side-by-side as a workaround.

When you run multiple windows in Safari on your mac, it is still the same app instance. The problem here is that the multitasking UI is unable to display multiple iOS windows at the same time.

Exactly. This isn't an OS problem. It's an app feature. The OP would like for Safari to support side-by-side tabs.

It's a good request, but it's not really multitasking (in the computer-sense) and has nothing to do with iOS.

This is the first for Apple to implement split screen multitasking on iOS (iPad). Right now I would say Apple's split screen will be as it is now with third party apps added next month. iOS 9.1 or most likely iOS 10 will dive deeper into the split screen abilities as Apple has the year to perfect.

Try opening Mail and Safari in split view. In mail, open a link to a web page and see if Safari opens a second time or if it opens in the split view. Curious.

It loads the website in the split view version of Safari.

Yeah, it just adds another tab to Safari.
