The EMVco tokenization standard for NFC seems pretty open and standard. Google should have been able to fire back with An update, or at least with their new Lollipop OS, or their new Nexus device. So what's holding them back? Is it the lack of sophisticated biometrics technology? Or maybe the lack of hardware control from hardware partners to specify a 'Secure Element'? The desire to track and index users they process through their proxy credit card?
