Title says it all... They released the phones in Rose Gold, they even re-released the Apple Watch Sport in Rose Gold.

Does anyone think they might add a Rose Gold Mini 4 when they refresh the iPad Air?

I was wondering the same thing. It would be nice if they released one in rose gold, but I'm sure it would upset a lot of early adopters, LOL.

Well, if we use the Mini 3 as an indicator, the Mini 5 will have the exact same internals as the 4, but add 3D Touch and the Rose Gold colour.

Thinking about it pragmatically, I think the issue is trying to get a sense of interest in a color and setting up manufacturing for those rates.

Creating unibody aluminum for the Apple Watch and iPhone's will give a good indicator for the interest in iPads in those same colors.

I don't think it's an insidious issue. I think creating anodized aluminum blocks for 7.9, 9.7, and 12.9 blocks of aluminum when you don't know the specific rate of sell through on a new color is far more costly then doing 5.5, 4.7, 42mm, and 38mm of the same material.

Mass production on materials made for 10's of millions of devices made out of aluminum is probably much harder then spray painting plastic.

As my wife would say though I'm probably wrong.
