I noticed a dire lack of rumors about macOS 14, which seems a bit unusual. I remember rumors about Shortcuts.app coming to Monterey way before WWDC, and other various rumors. I remember Yosemite's new UI being revealed before WWDC revealed it. Heck, even iOS 17 has a few small rumors surrounding it.

How come there has been zero rumors about macOS 14? I'm intrigued and curious!

Either Apple has suddenly gotten much better at containing leaks, or there's just really nothing exciting about the next version of macOS.

Which possibility do you think is more likely? :p

I agree with the above that hopefully the lack of rumours means Apple is working on more of a performance and bug fixing release for this year.
