Why no silver ring around the home button on space gray iPhones? (update - pics!)

Not bad, but I think it would look better if it matched the space gray more.

Yeah haha now I'm getting a little greedy and picky now that I've seen the picture!

Update 11/2/14 - I just received the aluminum ring home button stickers and was able to get just the silver outer ring part out easily and put it on my phone around the home button. It fits perfectly! And I can still use TouchID just fine.

The stickers are on the right. You can see the one I removed the silver outer ring part from... and the other one with everything in tact. It was very easy to remove just the outer silver part... it basically came right off and still had some adhesive on it. We'll see how this holds up over the long-run with extensive use of the home button. It may lose some of the adhesiveness and fall off but for now, it seems pretty well in tact.

Best 99 cents I've ever spent (I bought a few just in case I messed it up haha)

Wow looks great!

Everyone with a black phone (space gray) will tell you they love the all black bezel when the screen is off. It looks great.

I just personally wanted a little contrast with the home button so I did this silver ring thing.

Yeah I kind of hate the way the white iPhone's screen stands out so much against the white when its off (or even on sometimes...). Personally I like the white but for myself I think I'll always have the traditional black iPhone

I prefer it to be all black. I think it looks better than the silver or gold. They look a bit tacky to me. I like everything about the gold and silver models except the ring around the touch ID.

It does look plain. However now that I've put the pink Apple silicone cover on my space grey 6 plus it looks a lot better. The pink border goes well with the black front.

Since there are two white models of iPhone, maybe it's time for two black as well? A 'Space Grey' with a light grey TouchID ring, and a 'Stealth Black' with a plain black TouchID ring and much darker anodised body? Something even darker and less blue than the iPhone 5 in slate.

Thats why i didnt get the space grey one lol. Looked like the average android device but of course thats just my own preferences. Love the golden ring on the white panel

Exactly! Mine is in an Apple black leather case and I love the monolithic look.

Looks gaudy from a style perspective, like Samsung uses and is criticized for. Like when someone goes to Pep Boys and decks out their car with all the silver/chrome parts they can buy (exhaust tip, windshield wipers, windshield sprayers, door trim/guards, gas tank door, etc etc).

But as long as you like it is all that matters. World would be pretty boring if we all had the same taste, or taste at all.
