Why no sound with .wmv files?

Every time I play/receive a .wmv file, it does not play the sound. Anyone know if there is a fix to this?

have you got flip4mac wmv plugin to run wmv

Using what video playing software on what Mac OS X version does that happen? And as the previous poster mentioned, have you Flip4Mac installed?

I will check the flip4mac, I thought I had that installed, but forgot about it. Thanks, now I have a starting point.

Download and use VLC Player instead. Much wider codec support.
