Needed/Wanted: Folders or Categories for iPhone
I am one of those who has used up every panel for my apps. I have had to delete several apps to make room for what I call the "serious" apps. I'm a full-time CSI and part-time R.N. so I have a lot of medical/work related apps. What irks me is that I am
forced to delete apps. Of course, it sounds ridiculous to have so many apps, as one person stated how could one use so many? I do however, have many apps for medical, meditation apps, productivity/utility apps, and yes - games! I'm 45, but hey, I like games, too. And no, you don't play each game every single day, but it's like having a library with a lot of books. Do you really read all of them? No, but they're a part of your collection, and you paid for them. I have PAID for these apps and I want to be able to access them when I want to and it is pissing me off that I have to delete some of the more ridiculous ones that are no-brainer and simply for fun to make room for the work-related ones.
I find it hard to imagine those that have not sucked up every panel yet. Geez, even if you're just a kid with no use for the utility type apps, wouldn't a teen go nuts for all the games? And with all of the new apps that are continually coming out.... And if you're an adult with few apps, maybe you're just not that addicted to your iPhone like I am, or you're not single like am, therefore are not as glued to your iPhone. Perhaps when I am in a relationship again I will spend a lot less time perusing the App store, lol.
Apple/iTunes is only hurting themselves by not allowing a program like Categories by Cydia to be created as a downloadable app. There are more I'd like to purchase, but have reached the point where I just do not want to delete any more of my apps. The last few I deleted were a tough decision to begin with. So, in the meantime, I will refrain from purchasing any more apps, and they will not get my money. It's simple... Create Folders = People Will Buy More Apps
I doubt Apple foresaw the explosion of apps to this degree when they released the SDK's, but c'mon, now they know, so they need to get with the program and do something about it.
My iPhone has become an indispensable tool that --> yes, I can't imagine how I've lived without it, yes, it's glued to my body, and yes, everyone keeps telling me I'm always using it.
Please, please, Apple come up with something for those of us that do not care to jailbreak our phones.
