I pre-ordered the iPhone 4 from Verizon when it was first released, and I had zero problems on the website at 3:00 AM EST (actually it went live early, like 2:45 or so). It arrived on release day, set it up and activated with no problems at all. Is there any benefit to ordering directly from Apple? I mean, either way you still get the 1-year Apple warranty, so you can take it to either an Apple store or [in my case] Verizon store if necessary. It just seems like, since you're doing mobile account-based stuff, it makes more sense to order from your mobile provider. Anyone...?
