Clickbait.I don't like the wording of "scam" but getting the 13 Pro instead was the advice of this video I just watched.
I got my 14+ for the SOS emergency feature that the 13PM does not.
That's all I needed...

That’s fair and I don’t feel like you called me out! 🙌 I use ProRAW for my amateur astrophotography love. I always shoot in ProRAW to help capture as much detail as possible. The attached picture had a nice glow from a close by camp fire/smoke:Why not? Just because they have the Pro or Pro Max doesn't mean they can't see or appreciate the value the Plus has to offer for other people. I think it's silly the other way around...people pushing the Pro/Pro Max on others when the regular/Plus would suit them just fine. I love the Pro too, but I know it's overkill for some people.
Not calling you out, but I do see ProRAW and ProRes being touted as a reason to get the Pro. Don't get me wrong, it is...but I'd love to see numbers of how many people actually turn these on and use them. None of my friends or family members have used these, nor would they know how to properly edit a ProRAW photo, much less even have the proper tools/apps. I'm guessing this is true for the vast majority of people, but I could be wrong. To me, these feel like a niche feature.
14 Plus is a great phone. I think we’ll see great sales for it especially through the holidays.Clickbait.

So does that mean if everyone is jumping off the mountain, you should do the same ??
In my opinion the plus should pick up now that it’s released. I bet it does well in the holiday season.Well, that is the problem. I don’t understand what is the value for the non-pros at the price difference. The pros are selling very well already, for good reason
Because it’s still a big phone. And it costs the same as a brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max from phone carriers. Why would you get a 13 Pro Max when you really dislike the heavy weight of it and finally you’re able to get a lightweighted 6,7 inch iPhone?
Unless emergency satellite communications is important, or buying a phone a year later in the production cycle, or battery life. You shouldn’t
buying 14 plus over 13 pro max is an awful buying decision

💯I dont wanna buy a used phone
I want a lighter phone
I want the midnight colour
As for the 14 Pro Max, I dislike the dynamic island since it sinks lower into the screen than the notch.
I don't know what's more cringe. This guys clickbait youtube titles, or the fact that he tries to look like Steve Jobs.
IMHO, Daniel from ZONEofTech is usually a great YouTuber and he actually recommends the 14 Plus for some users.
He addresses the topic, clickbait to me usually implies dubious content, and/or some type of bait and switch.
I really don't understand (apart from the weight) why anyone should buy a 14 plus since the 13 pro max: it has the same processor, more ram, better materials, an extra camera and costs even less. What do you think?
Putting "SCAM" in capital letters anywhere in the title is clickbait.

Especially those of us who venture out to nowhere like me.Good point and that's a great feature.

In the past I would have to rent a satellite phone or text only device and carry that into the backwoods where we fish.
Now, I don't need to rent a sat phone !
You sold me. Going to order a 14 Plus…Absolutely no reason, in fact buying a 14 Plus over a 13 Max is a poorly informed, bad decision.
