Why not? Just because they have the Pro or Pro Max doesn't mean they can't see or appreciate the value the Plus has to offer for other people. I think it's silly the other way around...people pushing the Pro/Pro Max on others when the regular/Plus would suit them just fine. I love the Pro too, but I know it's overkill for some people.

Not calling you out, but I do see ProRAW and ProRes being touted as a reason to get the Pro. Don't get me wrong, it is...but I'd love to see numbers of how many people actually turn these on and use them. None of my friends or family members have used these, nor would they know how to properly edit a ProRAW photo, much less even have the proper tools/apps. I'm guessing this is true for the vast majority of people, but I could be wrong. To me, these feel like a niche feature.
That’s fair and I don’t feel like you called me out! 🙌 I use ProRAW for my amateur astrophotography love. I always shoot in ProRAW to help capture as much detail as possible. The attached picture had a nice glow from a close by camp fire/smoke:

So does that mean if everyone is jumping off the mountain, you should do the same ??

I wouldn’t recommend that

I bought my 14 pro max without following anyone’s opinion. However, now that I have one, I’d probably get the 14 pro instead. But I’m still keeping the max. Love the screen ❤️

Just like my opinion man but coming from a 12 Pro:

-Here in EU, buying used 13 Pro Maxs is pretty hard to do, most carriers have replaced with the 14s now. Inflation and exchange rate still makes it more expensive for the pro phones
- Don’t need Promotion
-don’t need AOD
-The 48 in ProRaw only doesn’t really help me in my use cases
-Dynamic Island isn’t worth it to me
-Don’t care for the telephoto lens, barely use it on my Pro
-Battery sucks on the Pro, esp with IOS 16. Need more than a day battery
-i want a bigger Screen

So it’s perfect for me actually, maybe in a few ones I’ll jump back up to a Pro. But I’ll let you know how it goes when my 14Plus gets here

Why would you get a 13 Pro Max when you really dislike the heavy weight of it and finally you’re able to get a lightweighted 6,7 inch iPhone?
Because it’s still a big phone. And it costs the same as a brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max from phone carriers.

I dont wanna buy a used phone

I want a lighter phone

I want the midnight colour

As for the 14 Pro Max, I dislike the dynamic island since it sinks lower into the screen than the notch.

I don't know what's more cringe. This guys clickbait youtube titles, or the fact that he tries to look like Steve Jobs.

IMHO, Daniel from ZONEofTech is usually a great YouTuber and he actually recommends the 14 Plus for some users.
He addresses the topic, clickbait to me usually implies dubious content, and/or some type of bait and switch.

Putting "SCAM" in capital letters anywhere in the title is clickbait.

Capital letters? LOL. Subjective opinion, as that usually implies deception or being misleading by
every definition.

I look beyond titles and actually look to the content the person puts together.

Especially those of us who venture out to nowhere like me.

In the past I would have to rent a satellite phone or text only device and carry that into the backwoods where we fish.

Now, I don't need to rent a sat phone !

Heck, I've been in the parking lot of a welcome center-type building in a park in the mountains of North Carolina and had zero signal, much less out in the wilderness. I'm glad we have this backup option now.

If you can get a 13PM then there is no reason to get the 14 Plus. Nobody is really attempting to make the case that a 14 Plus is a better buy for people who are in the know.

The 14 Plus is mainly for people who want a bigger iPhone with a hard limit of how much they want to spend, or just don't care about the pro features. It's for the masses that just walk into an Apple store and decide on the spot between the 14 Plus and the 14 Pro Max.

For us, the kind of people who post on an Apple forum and know a bit more about it, the 13 Pro Max is the obvious buy.
