Not sure if this is the right place but.. Why do some apple products have a prefix i, (eg iBook, iPod.) As a newbie i've always wondered.

Since the iMac was so popular when it came out, it became part of the branding I would say...

Seems to me it originally suggested "internet" - but I am not sure it still holds.

Lots of threads about this one...Give a search for a good read or two.
