Seem unusual there has been a lack of stable release / updates to the software? I know 2.0 is beta but come on release an incriminate update besides 1.01

I agree and have wondered this too. There are quite a number of minor bugs that, in my opinion, should be addressed in minor updates leading up to os2. The dang sunset one comes to mind.

Reactions: Newtons Apple
My hunch is that Apple declared OS1 "good enough" last year and redeployed the entire development team on OS2. The 1.0.1 micro update probably cost them a dozen important OS2 features that they had to delay into OS3.

That is a little in jest, but not much. Given the timing, I bet that OS1 is essentially an abandoned code stream. If the watch released on time last fall, then we probably would have seen a number of updates with fixes and enhancements that are now being packaged in OS2.

I was wondering this myself, too. Are the betas that are out there not for watchOS 2.0, though? That's not out for a few months so I was wondering if there'd at least be a patch or minor version bump for what we have now, addressing some things. As of now, it's looking like there'll be nothing until we get 2.0.
