A rather offensive, judgemental and arrogant commentI hope 50,000 hipster baristas get their phone before you

You will get your wish as I don't plan on groveling to get my phone. Sorry, i'm not one to be careful with my words...
This trend is disturbing, it's as if they are making it like a game. Apple makes a great product, their loyal fanbase attests to that. In this case, it's not about the price but about the way it's handled. It's hard for me to see a company as innovative as Apple having such challenges with production making a product (that has been done before by other competitors). It's a trend at this point, limited production seems way off with this phone...what's so special that you can only make 10k per cycle? From what I am reading it's like 50% product availability vs previous new models at launch. I understand a wait of 2-3 months after launch for the folks not willing to fight the crowds but this may take over a year to see the iPhone X readily available in inventory.
Another takeaway from the keynote that upsets me is that they are claiming the iPhone X is a status but it's the only new model with a real feature bump. The iPhone 8 is more like an S model upgrade let's be honest; same overall footprint with modernized features. Why not make an iPhone X elite that's white or gold or something for the Kardashian crowd? I have zero interest in moving to an iPhone 8 as the new features don't excite me. I want the edge to edge glass and the bigger screen footprint/resolution.
If they truly have not figured out a way to make more than 10k then fine i'll settle with that but IF they are limiting production to enforce an exclusive model then I will lose all respect for Apple and I will force myself to detach from the product. I am ok with the price; you make a good product and I buy your good product. I am grateful you make a great product and i'll spend the money your're asking for it but if you make me wait in long lines and beg for spots on pre-order lists and make me beg for your product like some peasant then you can kiss my ass.
To me that is a threat to innovation and puts us in reverse in the drive towards new and better technology. If that's Apple's way of staying relevant in the absence of Steve Jobs then it's a matter of time before they lose the crowds in mass.
Just my opinion of course
