I was just wondering if there's a reason why one would only be at a 65832 or 68010 level for 5 posts? I'm genuinely puzzled😕

65832 => 1,500 posts
68000 => 1,505 posts
68010 => 2,000 posts
68020 => 2,005 posts

Thanks in advance!🙂

The numbers are processors that Apple used in their systems.

There is only 5 posts between them because those chips only lasted that long? 😀

As I recall, no math coprocessor in that puppy. That was always my favorite classic Mac.

My Dad bought one new in '89. It was our family's upgrade from a Plus. It did have a 68882 FPU in it, but the 68010 I'm referring to is actually onboard an ethernet card I have installed.

I should pull that thing out again. I might need to recap the motherboard though - I think some of the capacitors are beginning to leak.

I humbly retract my "68010, bitches!"

Upon checking my ethernet card, it's actually a 10 MHz 68000, not a 68010. 🙂

Used to be a tradition of advising people who didn't understand the numbers to read the FAQ.

True, however I read the FAQ and was asking something different than just what the user titles were. Specifically, I was wondering why someone would be at a certain level for only five posts, after which they would be at the next level for 500 or so posts. The five posts is weird to me, that is all
