Hi all,

Love my Macbook Air but in recent weeks it has slowed down dramatically. i.e.-keyboard lag, "beach balls" regularly, etc. Simply put it use to scream all the time, but now it gets sluggish and the performance difference in startup of apps, etc is quite noticeable.

Now, the obvious thing to look at is what have I installed. Well, my company bought me the Air and I haven't installed much of anything beyond what was on the machine when it was provided for me...and was super fast. I have had the machine about 4-5 months.

There has got to be something going on, but I just don't know where to look.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, one last thing...installed TRIM a couple of months back and I've run it a couple of times to no avail. It was just a stab in the dark since it's not totally clear to me when and how often you run so I gave it s shot.

Launch Activity Monitor and change "My Processes" at the top to "All Processes". Then take a look at what might be consuming system resources.
