Why there is the "Health" app on the 4s?

Apple said that the Apple watch is compatible only with the iphone 5 and above, what's the point of the health app on 4s if it can't work with the watch?

Because third party health apps can use it, I assume Nike Plus can use it and you can use it in otter ways - to track calories etc.

There are a ton of non-Apple-Watch uses for the Health App. I've already input my latest lab results and set up my Medical ID (sort of like a MedicAlert for the phone, accessible from the lock screen), and third-party apps like Fitbit and Withings will be able to access parts of it if you allow it.

It's one of the new features I'm very excited about, and I have no intention of buying an Watch. 🙂
