Why upgrade whitebook 10 days before WWDC?

    Why not wait until WWDC?

    Seems to me Apple only tipped their hand by doing this. It implied the 13" UMB would get bumped as well (And it did).

    This could only serve to hurt UMB sales for 10 days and I'm sure it did.

    They wanted to focus on the "pro" line at the WWDC...

    It's not uncommon for Apple to release "silent" updates during the course of the year. The Whitebook going to 9400M was another one of that sort, as was the update to the Mac Mini a year and a half or so ago.
