Why use Apple pay in the appstore ?

What's the difference ? I can pay with Touch ID in the appstore so how does ApplePay make it any different ?

From what account? Apple Store?

In the end, your CC info isn't actually transmitted over the internet. Just a transaction ID and biometric ID is used. Remember how many companies are reporting breaches in payment servers?

I think...this is what Pay defeats.

Apple Pay isn't used in the App Store. It can be used in the APPLE Store. So, not to buy apps, but to buy Apple products.
