With the AirPower you just plug it into ONE outlet and you can charge many devices.

I guess it’ll appeal to someone who doesn’t want to upgrade to the Series 3 Watch just yet, nor pay $70 for the AirPods case replacement.

You’re right. I wasn’t planning on buying the AirPods case and didn’t want to spend the $200 for airpower. So for under $50 I’ve got wireless charging all around. I like having the AirPods case plugged in because I can just drop the earbuds in when I’m done, and I can charge the Apple TV remote

Wait...is the airpower may really $200?
 
may be a difference:
what ever charging pad you buy likely some will be faster than others
