If my wifi isn't turned on, my MBP chucks-up a warning saying none of my networks are available. So I close the box and turn on my wifi. My iPhone will then, without any further input, connect to my wifi.

So why does my £1600 MacBook Pro need me to reselect it from my wifi list? Why can't it just see it and connect to it?!

Do you have your network at the top of your Preferred Networks in your AirPort settings?
