Why won't the status bar change at all on my iphone?

no matter what i do, like i have a status bar in my theme or if i download one, the battery i put in doesnt show up the wifi bars i changed dont show up, it just stays black and i cant figure out how to change it

so as of now there is no possible way to get around it? or can you ssh inside it and find the default status bar and change it?
