Why would my speck candy shell freeze my iphone 6s touchscreen

So with my candy shell case on and if I hold the phone and horizontal landscape mode with my left hand on the left side of the phone with the top of the phone is in a certain way the screen will freeze and I can't scroll or touch or move anything goes away after a few moments tho

sounds like either the case is conducting for some reason (phone thinks the case is your finger) or the phone is losing the wired connection for the touch sensor...take it in to have it looked at. Either case, it's not normal.
