I guess I just can't understand 600 bucks for something to read/write emails on slower

For me it is way faster than the iPhone. I can actually type on this thing, I would not try to reply to your post on the iPhone, it would take too long and be way too frustrating. I'm typing this on the iPad, and it is almost as easy as it is on my mac.

I disagree.

I can type very fast on my Mac because I can feel the keys and I don't have to look. I can almost do the same on my iPhone.

The iPad screen gets covered up too much with my hands so I have to poke the keys one at a time and hover my hands over them to make sure I don't touch any of the wrong keys. On a real keyboard, I can rest my fingers on the keys without actually pressing them down.

I assume you set your iPad down to do this with 2 hands correct? On the iPhone, I don't even have to put it down. I can be anywhere, doing anything and type perfectly fine on it.

Larger screen is better for: Reading websites, watching videos, reading comics, displaying pictures, transporting work and school documents, and displaying my art and design portfolio.

For posting this thread once again, I ask... why?

It comes in white. I cannot resist it anymore. My desire does worth 500 dollars and more. I can afford it, so buying it.
Thanks.

All I can say is, I have owned an iPhone for over two years, a mac for nearly three, and an iPad for around eight months. It is easiest to type on the mac, closely followed by the iPad, which I have far less experience of using in comparison to the others, and distantly followed by the iPhone. I never choose to use the iPhone for typing unless I have no other choice.

If you can type faster on an iPad than an iPhone, then you just never typed properly on the iPhone.

If you text a lot on the iPhone, you will get very quick and it's a lot more comfortable than hovering your arms in the air to prevent resting your fingers on the screen (on the iPad).

Yes, typing on a keyboard will almost always be faster then on the iPad or iPhone.

For me, I found it a great addition to my work and life. For work, I use some apps to take notes and manage my schedule. I also use GoodReader to view PDFs as part of my job I'm upgrading systems and the tasks are listed in ginormous PDFs. Having it on the iPad is much better then trying to upgrade a server and swap back to the PDF.

I also find it better then a laptop for surfing and emails around the house. Its much better to surf with this while I sit on the couch then the laptop.

That makes sense. I don't do a whole lot of web browsing on my iPhone and I definitely don't need to read PDFs on it.

I just don't see myself using an iPad I guess.
