Hey maybe stupid for most of you guys, how do I know what version of MacBook Pro do I have?
Apple Menu -> About This Mac -> More Info
Well I dont want to be mea, but I knew that !!
I mean is my understanding there are few versions of the same mac during the year?..what are the diferences? in this case i have this macbook pro and i saw like 1 month after buy this in the web page that the MacBook Pro has a SD Card Slot, mine doesn't ..
Look for the model number:
A MacBook Pro 5,1 is different from the MacBook Pro 5,3/4.
The 5,1 models have no SD card slot, but the 5,3/4 have.
And then look here for more information.

No, not that I know of. But if you take your serial number along to an apple store they might be able to look it up and tell you the date of purchase.
Or type your serial number in the box on the right hand side of this page, that should tell you. Or at least when the warranty expires, and you can just go back a year from that (assuming you don't have AppleCare).
Change the link to your country if you want, but I don't think it makes a difference.
