Hello there. I recently used my wide angle lens to record a video and for some reason the video doesn’t look as crisp as if I would have shot it normally. There’s a lot of noise. Is this normal? I’m using my iPhone 11 Pro Max for my YouTube channel and thought the wide angle lens would be great for videos I couldn’t get the subject in the shot and then I get these results.

Any information or help would be much appreciated.

I don’t have the 11 pro unfortunately but could you post a sample so that other owners can compare with their results?

I would expect a softer image with a wide angle when filming personally.

It's normal because the ultra-wide has a smaller sensor and smaller lens, which produces noisier images.

Thank you for the response. This makes sense. I did not know it was a smaller sensor.

Honestly the best way to fix this is to buy the Moment case for your iPhone and the 18mm or 14mm fisheye lenses if you like wide video. These lenses attach over the main 1x camera which has the best and largest sensor. Image quality is superb.
My favorite is the 58mm tele, the 18mm and 14mm are great as well, super sharp.
