Widgets not working

I have a G5 iMac wth OSX 10.4.4.

Recently, the following Widgets that were previously okay stopped working.

Ask Jeeves shows blank screen and desn't respond to questions.
Language translator doesn't respond and says "data unavailable."
Accuweather shows blank face.
All Directory Widgets say "data unavailable"

What went wrong? How can these Widgets be fixed?

Have you moved the Apple widgets out of HD/Library/Widgets at any point?
Doing that, and then there being a 10.4.x update, can lead to your widgets going loopy.

Widgit problem solved

Nothing brilliant. Had to do a restart when system error occured. On boot up, all Widgets resumed normal operations. Old mac pro like me (since Mac 128) shooda known betta. 🙂 So, next time anyone has a problem like this, try restart before hollerin' for help.
