So i tried to reboot my phone but the widgets are just a black void and when i add them to the home page, they are either black or just a frozen image such as weather. I cant click on it to open the app or anything
My photos widget on my iPad is blank also. Content unavailable.
In the beta, they sometimes took time to update and get back in the groove. Be patient.
What I did was use iTunes to copy my photos to my iPad recently. I had many photos on my windows 10 pc.be patient, will eventually populate, some were a bit random at first.
Or, did you deny access? I'm sure that is one that pops up asking about access.

Yeah I see just two “for you” suggestions. Incidentally when looking at my last few days battery usage , photos has used approx over 8 hours off screen usage. So like you mentioned it’s doing something. If you go into Photos, are you seeing anything in the ’For You’ section? As that’s what the widget uses. If you only added photos recently, it might table time to populate.

Not the same issue but somewhat related; I use a weather app called Météo (Canadian weather) and after updating to iOS 14 the app's widget is no longer available - doesn't show up as an available widget (it worked fine iOS 13). Is this likely the app's fault and the app now needs updating or could it be a bug in iOS 14?
Thanks. That’s why. It would probably need more than 2! So yea, patience
Apps submitted using Xcode 12 will not support the iOS 13 style widget, according to Apples release notes. That’s why. So, you’ll have to hope they make use of the new Widgetkit at some point.
Thanks. I'll contact the developer then. Hope they update it.Ansath said:Apps submitted using Xcode 12 will not support the iOS 13 style widget, according to Apples release notes. That’s why. So, you’ll have to hope they make use of the new Widgetkit at some point.
