iPod touch widgets?

I've been switching between iOS and jailbreak. I'm jailbreaking it again tonight (my 2nd Gen 8 gig). I've been looking through the homescreen pic threads and have been seeing lots of widgets. I have no idea how to do this but I like the way it looks. If someone could explain it to me or link me to a tutorial, that'd be great. Thanks in Advance!
