So, I was looking for a program to clean up my mac a bit, and came across a free trial of "Main Menu." I'm not very good with macs, but after I used it, a bunch of wierd files showed up on my HD. I think they might be important files, so I don't dare delete them. But I dont know where they come from. If they are hidden files, I tried to unhide them using the terminal :

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE

Which did nothing. Can anyone tell me what these files are and what I need to do to move them where they need to be.

A couple examples of the files are: .hotfiles.btree ; .Trashes ; mach_kernel ; .vol ; bin ; sbin ; and a bunch of others.

Thanks!
