I was previously logged into a non admin user account, and then when I tried to log into my own (admin) account, there were no icons on the desktop (picture was still there), no mounted drives visible. I opened a new finder window and there was nothing in there, so I went to Finder-GO-Computer and the start up drive was visible but I couldnt access it. I restarted the computer, and it got stuck on a grey screen while booting down for several minutes. Eventually I just turned it off with the button, and restarted. Now all is fine, but was wondering what happened and why? Does anyone have any experience of this problem? Its a 2012 15" MBP running 10.8.2 Thanks in advance.
