A True dog lover commenting here.I’m looking for evidence that I’m not being unreasonable!
I walk the dog on local fields and it’s muddy I dry it off or wash it and place it in the tiled downstairs bathroom till it’s dry enough to carpeted areas etc.
My wife walks the dog on same muddy fields, doesn’t wash it off and let’s it on our leather couch or our 7 year olds bed and it gets caked in mud. Tonight I’ve come home and our bed sheets are covered in mud.
Am I unreasonable in expecting her to wipe the dog down and that a 7 year old should sleep in clean bedding?
In no way are you being unreasonable. You can tell your wife from me (and probably most others here that have contributed) that her habit of allowing the dog inside with muddy feet and then onto a couch and onto a bed (for Gods' sake!!) without washing it first is not just bad, it's absolutely disgusting, revolting behaviour!
My wife's a good 'un (although she's French)😉, but would never dream of allowing that to happen. If she ever did, she'd get such a tearing down from me that she'd change her ways immediately. I suggest you need to put your foot down firmly to teach her basic sanitary common-sense, before she does something else equally appalling.
Methinks you have picked the matrimony short-straw........
